Strength training exercises are very essential for individuals. Strength training using weights, yoga and resistance of ones own body weight are taught in three planes of motion - sagittal, frontal and transverse. Strength training is implemented after postural, flexibility and core strength assessments. Postural assessment enables us to improve one's posture through strength training and also to determine the musculoskeletal imbalances in one's body, created in today's day and age due to the seated job environment, poor postural habits or sports. Flexibility assessments enable us to analyze the range of motion in different joints and the muscles causing the imbalances. Core assessments are important to analyze one's stability and strength in the abdominal and the deep rooted stabilizer muscles of the trunk. Back |
